Transformers are used wherever the mains voltage has to be transformed to a different voltage level to transport the energy generated in the power plant with as little dissipation as possible. However, the noise exposure from the transformation process places a burden on the environment and thus also on people.
WENDT Noise Control has developed innovative solutions, which reduce the disturbing noise exposure from transformers in such a way that the reference values required by the Federal Emission Control Act are complied with.
As a rule, two possible designs are possible. On the one hand, a so-called close encapsulation can be used, which encloses the transformer very tightly and reduces sound radiation in all directions - on the other hand, sound screens are also possible, which reduce sound radiation in defined directions.
