Goal-oriented measurements

under real production conditions

The company IBS, Ingenieurbüro für Schall- und Schwingungstechnik GmbH, takes over as a part of the Wendt-Group, i.a. the acoustic design of WENDT products, e.g. sound hoods, mufflers or soundproofing.

IBS therefore carries out inspection measurements, takes on development and optimisation tasks and supports or advises on the development of soundproofing concepts.

For the dimensioning of the required soundproofing, IBS determines the noise emission spectrums and carries out vulnerability analyses.

Noise reduction

  • Heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration plants
  • Machine noise
  • Sound protection hoods, silencers
  • Environmental noise

We deal with all questions relating to noise reduction in plant engineering, construction and mechanical engineering, but also in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration plants such as recooling plants or heat pumps. If limit or reference values are exceeded, we develop project-specific solutions to reduce acoustic noise generation or we dimension acoustic enclosures or silencers.

Acoustic measurements, expert opinion on noise control

  • Acceptance inspections
  • Noise at work
  • Building room acoustics
  • Urban development planning
  • Industrial noise

We are recognised as a notified measuring body in accordance with Article 29b of the Federal Pollution Control Act (BImSchG) for the detection of noise and as a test laboratory accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS GmbH) according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. We are thus able to support you in the measurement of almost all acoustic sources according to a variety of standards. The accreditation applies to the test methods listed in the certificate.

Vibrations

  • Shocks
  • Machine vibrations
  • Vibrations in pipework systems
  • Vibration analysis
  • Exposure to vibrations at work

Excessive vibrations can not only be annoying, but in extreme cases may also cause cracks in buildings and may even damage components. For safety reasons, it is therefore important to measure, calculate and evaluate vibrations in the building industry or in process engineering.

Blower door test

  • Blower door measurement analogous to DIN EN 13829 and EN ISO 9972

The air-tightness of sound hoods or other buildings is measured with the help of a blower door test, also called the differential pressure measurement method. The leaks in the building envelope - e.g. in element joints, ventilation flaps or doors - are determined with the blower door measurement and can be optimised at a later time. The gas tightness of sound protection hoods is often required to maintain the necessary CO2 concentration in case of fire.

WENDT acoustic centre

  • Acoustics measuring room ISO 3744 class 2
  • Flow-analysis test bench 55000 m³/h

In our acoustic measuring room (class 2), we perform measurements to determine the sound power level Lw according to ISO 3744. The flow-analysis test bench is suitable for ascertaining insertion damping and pressure losses in ventilation systems.
